美的標準一直都是個受關(guān)注的話題，但美其實是很主觀的概念，一個美的象征，在另一個可能是普通甚至難看的。
這些標準也會隨著時間改變。曾經(jīng)，“美麗”的經(jīng)典定義更偏向曲線美，而后流行起了纖纖細腰。
現(xiàn)在，我們又從那個階段過渡到以“健康”為美，追求苗條但有肌肉線條的體型。

#1 ITALY
意大利
意大利這樣崇尚愛情和浪漫的都市，這里的女性也都自帶浪漫的氣質(zhì)。
她們追求自然美，看重皮膚和頭發(fā)的保養(yǎng)。
為了維護皮膚和頭發(fā)的狀態(tài)，她們合理搭配飲食，也會進行適當?shù)倪\動。

Italians embrace life and enjoy all aspects of it. They believe in embracing what comes. They are fit and comfortable with themselves. Italy shows that beauty is more than skin deep and truly embraces the diversity that is out there.
她們喜歡曬太陽，但她們會很用心地曬太陽--使用優(yōu)質(zhì)的防曬霜。

Italian women have long been considered beautiful. But the standards are more or less based on taking care of themselves and maintaining a natural beauty. It's about what makes them feel good.
#2 FRANCE
法國

"What we want is to be ourselves — not a better version of ourselves," said French makeup artist Violette in a Vogue interview.

They celebrate the true beauty and embrace what they were born with. French women enjoy the quirky and distinct features without the use of contouring and makeup. They go for a more understated look compared to Americans.
#3 KOREA
韓國
韓國人眼中的美女的特征之一就是所謂的“瓷肌”--像陶瓷一樣光滑白皙的皮膚。
對于韓國女性而言，保持的白皙膚色絕非易事。
所以韓國女性注重護膚品和化妝品的選擇，美白、補水、防皺、抗衰老......一應俱全！
而且很多韓國女性比較抗拒曬太陽，為了不曬黑，走到外面一定要全副武裝--口罩、遮陽帽、遮陽傘。
韓國女性因其令人贊嘆的皮膚而受到全世界的羨慕。如果你考慮膚色的標準，韓國一定。她們?nèi)缒逃桶惆尊哪樤诙急挥靡凿N售護膚品。
Korean women are admired the world over for their incredible skin. If you think of the standard for gorgeous complexions, Korea ranks at the top. Their creamy, alabaster faces are used to sell skin care all around the globe.
韓國整容在世界都很出名，因為韓國人覺得瘦小的臉型和又大又圓的眼睛是美的，所以不少人會通過做整形手術(shù)達到這種美的標準。
這種美的標準源于一個時代，那時蒼白的膚色是財富和社會地位的象征。而古銅色的皮膚是一個人不得不在外工作、無法負擔昂貴的皮膚護理的標志。
This standard of beauty originates from a time when a pale complexion was a sign of wealth and social standing. Tan skin was a sign of someone who had to work outside and couldn' t afford the luxury of skin care.
#4 BRAZIL
巴西
巴西和南美的對美標準跟亞洲完全不一樣，在這里，瘦瘦小小的女生完全算不上好看。
她們更喜歡練出有肌肉線條的雙腿、寬而翹的臀部，這樣才會更受歡迎。

Brazil is a land of exquisite beauty and it' s women live up to it. Unlike a lot of countries that place an emphasis on slenderness, the Brazilians have a different idea in mind. They embraced the look of a more curvaceous body for years.

Unfortunately, like so many other countries, the Western standards of beauty have started seeping into the country and causing a shift toward thinner bodies with larger breasts.

Hopefully, this unbelievably diverse and gorgeous country will start to enjoy it' s own unique styles and looks.
#5 GREAT BRITAIN
英國
很多英國人會自帶一種低調(diào)優(yōu)雅的氣質(zhì)，這幾乎體現(xiàn)在他們文化的方方面面，包括美。
可能是歷史原因，英國女性喜歡苗條、白皙，或者有點小雀斑的具有貴族感的長相。
相比起華麗和浮夸的風格，她們更喜歡低調(diào)的舒適簡單的衣服，包括妝容也比較簡單。
總之，英國人看重的還是氣質(zhì)。
像英國女王就相當有氣質(zhì)了，盡管年齡大了，但還是一樣的自信優(yōu)雅。
英國女性也不太擔心變老。其他女性竭力掩飾皺紋和年齡跡象的做法并不會影響她們。
British women also don' t worry as much about getting older. The wrinkles and signs of age that other women struggle to hide don' t bother them.
相反地，她們認為這些變化是成熟和智慧的標志。在任何年齡段，英國人都以更健康的方式看待美的標準。
They view these changes as signs of maturity and wisdom. Britain certainly has a healthier way to view standards of beauty at any age.
#6 INDIA
印度
印度美女讓人羨慕的就是一頭濃密而有光澤的頭發(fā)。（真心羨慕！）
印度女性以其令人驚嘆的華麗發(fā)型而聞名，她們在護發(fā)產(chǎn)品和頭發(fā)護理上花了很多錢，以保持她們聞名于世的濃密而有光澤的頭發(fā)。
Indian women are known for their unbelievably gorgeous hair. Indian women spend a great deal of money on hair products and treatments to maintain the thick, glossy manes they are known for all over the world.
除此之外，印度女性很看重服裝和配飾的作用，她們會用指甲花、紗麗和眉心的紅點裝飾自己。
像是過節(jié)或者婚禮這種需要慶祝的日子，更是會打扮得鮮艷華麗，五顏六色的裝飾品都往身上搬。
但是印度對美的看法逐漸受到西方文化的影響，開始有所轉(zhuǎn)變。
現(xiàn)在，印度年輕女性們開始追求更白的皮膚、更瘦更修長的身材。
多年來，苗條的身材并不被認為是美麗或健康的，印度對美的標準建立在更健康的身體上。但西方對美的理想型已經(jīng)在印度顯現(xiàn)出來，很多印度人開始變瘦。
For many years, a thin body was not considered to be beautiful or healthy. Standards were placed on a healthier body. But Western ideals have started to show in India, bringing a slimming down.
#7 AUSTRALIA
澳大利亞
澳大利亞由于地理位置，海灘和陽光都很充足。
所以他們對于美的標準偏向于健康、陽光的戶外形象，而不會刻意去追求白嫩的皮膚和纖細的身材。
由于澳大利亞人擁有無盡的陽光，許多女性都像被陽光親吻過的樣子。因為所處位置的極端太陽輻射，她們會進行大量的皮膚護理。
Due to the endless sun that Australians are blessed with, many of the women have a sun kissed look. They do practice a great deal of skin care due to the extreme levels of solar radiation that the country deals with.

#8 MAORI OF NEW ZEALAND
新西蘭毛利文化
對于以前的新西蘭的毛利人來說，面部紋身就是美麗的象征。
在傳統(tǒng)中，紋身機是用一種鑿子做的。（貌似很痛的樣子...）
而這種紋身一旦紋上了，就是性的，難以去除。這種呈漩渦狀的標記，叫做Ta-moko。
而下巴和嘴唇上都是這種紋身的女人就是毛利人眼中的美女了。
新西蘭的毛利人有一種十分華麗的習俗，被認為是美麗的真正象征。面部紋身是一種文化、信仰和美麗的象征。這些紋身復雜，且每個人的都是的。
The Maori people of New Zealand have an incredibly gorgeous practice that is considered a true sign of beauty. Facial tattoos are a symbol that is steeped in culture, beliefs and beauty. These tattoos are very intricate and completely unique to each person.
它們基于社會地位、等級、權(quán)力和威望，被認為是部落中美麗的重要標志，是魅力、美和個性的展示。沒有兩個完全一樣的紋身，每個都是一個杰作。
They are based on social status, rank, power and prestige and are considered a big mark of beauty among the tribe. They are a mark of glamour and beauty as well as individuality. No two tattoos are ever the same and each is considered a masterpiece.
進入現(xiàn)代社會后，他們對于美的標準逐漸改變，面部紋身已經(jīng)是過去對美的標準。
現(xiàn)代的毛利女孩并不會做這樣的紋身了。
#9 IRAN
伊朗
伊朗是一個仍要求女性不能拋頭露面的國度，同時也是世界上鼻部整形技術(shù)領(lǐng)先的。
大部分伊朗女性都想要做鼻部整形，這也被認為是富裕的標志。
甚至她們當不再需要的時候還會用繃帶遮住自己的鼻子，并且自豪地戴著。
甚至有這樣的故事，即使沒有接受手術(shù)的人，還會專門買繃帶并戴上。
There are even stories of people buying the bandages and wearing them even though they didn' t get the surgery.
由于女性戴面紗的時間極長，她們欣然接受對她們能展示的為數(shù)不多的身體部位之一進行手術(shù)。
With women spending so much time veiled, they embrace the use of surgery on one of the few body parts that they can show.
由于她們的身體和頭發(fā)都被面紗和頭巾遮住了，所以花錢買衣服就沒有什么意義，也因此她們會花錢做手術(shù)，把自己能夠展示的地方變美。
然而，盡管伊朗法律嚴格，許多女性試圖在時尚和文化信仰中找到平衡，會選擇穿著鮮艷的顏色，把染過的頭發(fā)藏在面紗下面。
But despite the strict laws in Iran, many women wear bright colours and have dyed hair underneath their veils as they try to balance between fashion and cultural beliefs.
#10 AMERICA
美國
雖然美國以文化大熔爐而聞名，但他們對美的一些明確標準普遍。
雖然他們也開始推崇女性保持自己真實外貌，但、高挑、苗條、豐滿的女性形象仍然是時尚和媒體的主流標準。
他們往往把名人和模特理想化。高挑、修長的造型依然流行。身材勻稱、健康，但仍然比大多數(shù)普通女性苗條。
They tend to idealize celebrities and models. The tall, slender look is still in. Fit and healthy but still more slender than most average women can attain.
但在美國一種更現(xiàn)實、更多樣的標準正在推行。
But there has been a push for a more realistic and varied range of standards in this country.
為了美麗，美國的超模們對于自己的身材管理也相當嚴格。
她們不僅每天只吃蔬菜水果和沙拉，還得堅持去健身房運動，為了保持肌肉線條。（為了美麗不容易?。。?/p>

正如我們所見，美是十分主觀和多樣的，每個都有自己眼中的理想型。
但那些狹隘的、難以達到的標準并不能算作美，我們要做的只是保持開放的心態(tài)，學會欣賞不同的美。
